Payment Methods & Terms

Payment before goods are sent out for non account customers. Account customers payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.

All goods remain the property of Clarence Water Filters until paid in full.

Direct bank deposits via Internet banking & in branch banking.

Credit Cards, PayPal, PayPal Pay in 4, Cash.

All overseas purchases must use Pay Pal to complete the purchase.

Freight Charges

We ship to All states and islands of Australia. We also ship to some overseas countries like New Zealand etc.

If you would like to place an order and your country does not appear in the shipping options please contact us for a quote on shipping.

We may choose to use a Express courier for some items, you will be notified if goods are to be sent by a Courier. Freight charges are calculated according to weight and destination.

Freight charges are shown in the checkout after you have entered your postal destination or you can check the postage costs of your cart by clicking the Calculate Shipping button on the shopping cart page.

Orders can be changed or deleted before payment in the checkout process. We do not charge any packing or handling fees and guarantee to replace any damaged or missing orders.

Goods are dispatched on the same day or within 24 hours of payment being cleared, subject to availability of stock.

Express post is not a Guaranteed overnight service in most areas and can take up to 3 days for delivery.

For some reason if we are out of stock or have not got adequate stock to fill an order the customer will be contacted before order is sent out.

International customers should check with their countries postal service for any extra customs fees or duties that may apply on arrival in your country. As these fees will be on top of the purchase price and payable by the customer at time of delivery.

Privacy & Security

  • Limited data collection
    We only collect essential shipping and billing details that are necessary for processing your order. This usually includes your name, business name, delivery address, contact phone numbers, email address and credit card details (if paying via credit card).
  • We won’t keep your credit card details
    Credit Card information is not stored on our computer server and is erased immediately after your payment is processed. If you call up to pay via credit card, we shred the piece of paper with your credit card details on it immediately after your payment is processed.
  • We won’t share your data with third parties 
    Any information and personal details you enter on this website will not be passed on to any third parties.
  • Fully secure transactions
    Our website uses HTTPS secure connections and an SSL Security Certificate for all online transactions. Our web servers are managed by one of Australia’s leading hosting providers and scanned daily for viruses and malware. Your security and privacy is important to us.

Filter Reminder Service

If you have opted for a filter reminder you my receive an email, text or a phone call when your replacement is due.

You may opt out of this reminder service at any time by contacting us.

Replacement of Damaged Goods

We Guarantee to replace any goods that may go missing or are damaged in transit.

All items are well packed and insured.

If you believe the goods received have been damaged during transit please:

  1. Bring it to the attention of the delivery person and sign it as damaged
  2. Contact us immediately. You may need to provide us with proof of damage eg. a picture, within 24 hours of delivery.
  3. If your item was delivered by Australia Post, please take a picture and then take the parcel to your nearest post office including the packaging for inspection. You will be required to fill out a claim form so we can claim the damaged item back from Australia Post.

Returns Policy

We are customer friendly & do not charge restocking fees in most cases, see notes below.*

Prior notification of return

You must contact Clarence Water Filters before any return will be accepted. Returns must be within 30 days of purchase. They should be in the original packing and unused or modified in any way.

Freight costs are not refundable and any freight & insurance costs derived from any product return will not be the responsibility of Clarence Water Filters


* Non stocked items and special ordered items may not be returned or may incur a restocking fee at the discretion of Clarence Water Filters

Product Warranty

12 months manufacturer’s warranty from date of invoice on non consumable products only.

Replacement cartridges, filters, ballasts, lamps etc. are considered consumable items and are not covered under the 12 month warranty period.

Consumables are covered by manufacturer’s warranty for failure at time of installation or if they are DOA. You must notify Clarence Water Filters within 14 days of delivery of any consumable failures.

Fragile Items 

Fragile items including quartz thimbles/sleeves, ultraviolet lamps, electronic ballasts, and ceramic water filters must be opened and inspected within the first 24 hours of receipt.

Damage to these fragile items must be reported immediately so Clarence Water Filters can begin the claims process.

During the warranty period Clarence Water Filters will repair, replace or refund at it’s option, when it has been determined by Clarence Water Filters at it’s discretion that the non consumable product has failed due to defective materials or workmanship.

Proper Installation

  • All installation and service work should be completed by qualified tradespeople.
  • Faulty operation due to unqualified persons will result in voided warranty coverage.
  • Use PTFE thread seal tape on all connections. Use of liquid pipe sealant/dope will void warranty.

Any warranty does not cover failure due to improper installation or maintenance, misuse, abuse, unauthorized repairs, modifications or alterations, freight charges, cost of removal or replacement.

The risk of the goods shall be passed to the purchaser upon delivery. The purchaser is responsible for loses and consequential damage.

“A warranty against defects is usually limited by time. All suppliers, manufacturers and service providers that provide you with a warranty against defects must comply with that warranty. If they do not, you may bring an action against the person or business who provided the warranty, either under Australian Consumer Law or for breach of contract.”

“Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to: cancel your service contract with us, and refund for the unused portion, or reimbursement for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does amount to major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to reimbursement for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service. ”
