SLT12 is a 8Lpm 12 watt Ultra Violet Light Disinfection Purifier with ballast controller. Kills 99.99% of all pathogens, making your water safer to consume.
There is a very real risk of contamination in drinking water from bores, tanks & rivers throughout Australia with even some town supplies carry bacteria, Cysts, Giardia, Cryptosporidium anmd other pathogens.
No micro organisms are known to be immune to high intensity Ultra Violet light. it’s effective against bacteria, mold, fungal spores, protozoa, parasitic cysts, viruses and yeasts.
This UV disinfection system represents an economical yet effective solution to water disinfecting without the use of chemicals and has a high flow rate. This system has a treatment flow rate of 8 Lpm which makes it suitable for single outlet applications where the flow rate is under 8 litres per minute.
Maximum killing capacity flow rate of 8 Lpm at 40 mJ/cm² and maximum flow rate up to 11 Lpm at 30 mJ/cm².
Water enters from one end and is spiraled around the Stainless Steel vessel for maximum contact time before leaving the outlet port. Depending on your water supply this unit may only need one easy service a year where you remove the lamp protective sleeve and wipe clean for best light output.
It is recommended to have a 5 micron sediment filter before any UV system so the lamp’s protective sleeve does not get covered with sediment build up also by reducing the sediment all bacteria comes in contact with the Ultra Violet light.
If your water is discoloured to tannins or other contaminants, it is recommended that you perform a UV Transmittance test to ensure the UV light can penetrate sufficiently.
Lamps are recommended to be replaced every 12 months to keep the system working at peak bacteria killing performance. The lamp is connected to a ballast which has warning buzzer and indicator lights showing that the system is working correctly.
Lamps are easily replaced by sliding the new lamp inside the quartz sleeve.
The UV vessel is made from 304 Stainless Steel and has two mounting clips.
These systems are usually mounted vertically but can be mounted horizontally as well.

1 Year warranty on S/S chamber and 1 year on ballast, subject to usage. Not suitable for saltwater applications.
Please note: It is recommended to use a plug in surge protector before the ballast to reduce the risk of power spikes to the system.
