Description
The UV Guard Armour range of UV Water Sterilisers are premium units for commercial, industrial and high end residential installations. The Armour 4 is one of the most popular options, providing flow rates up to 90 LPM at 40Mj/cm2
UV Guard is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of Utraviolet Water Sterilisers. Based in Sydney, they have devewloped a reputation for offering robust products built to withstand harsh operating environments.
The Armour series is their newest series, developed for for commercial, industrial and high end residential environments.
It uses extremely powerful ultraviolet light to neutralise 99.99% of all pathogens in your source water including bacteria, viruses, protozoa, parasitic cysts (cryptosporidium, cyclospora, giardia) and algal spores.
It features a robust 316 steel reactor with features normally reserved for more expensive units, including a UV light viewing port, electro-polished 316 reactor, internal flow mixer and more.
UV Guard also off a range of ballast options and sensors including Weather Resistant Ballasts, UV Intensity (UVi) Monitoring, Thermal Relief Valves, SMS fault modules and more. This makes it suitable for commercial/industrial installations where issues need to be detected immediately.

Video Introduction
Features
- Australian Watermark Certified (Level 1)
The Watermark certification means the unit has been certified to meet standards required to be installed by Australian plumbers - High Pressure Tolerance
The reactor is suitable for installations up to 16 nar (1,600 KPA or 232 PSI) - Latest Lamp Technology
The Armour range uses shorter low pressure lamps which deliver higher UV output - Enhanced Reactor Finish
The Armour 4 reactor is 316 steel, which has been glass-bead blasted then electro-polished. The end result is a highly durable, corrosion resistant, attractive surface. - Internal Flow Mixer
For improved UV exposure - Multiple Port Configurations Available
BSP, sanitary, and flanged ports available in Z or L configurations.

How UV Light Works
No micro organisms are known to be immune to Ultra Violet light. It will kill or incapacitate bacteria, mould, fungal spores, viruses and yeasts. UV sterilization systems represent an economical yet effective solution to water sterilization without the use of chemicals.
There is a very real risk of contamination in drinking water from bores, tanks & rivers throughout Australia with even some town supplies carry bacteria & Cysts, Giardia & Cryptosporidium.
Lamps are recommended to be replaced every 12 months to keep the system working at peak bacteria killing performance.
Lamps are easily replaced by sliding the new lamp inside the quartz thimble. These systems can be mounted vertically or horizontally as well using the C shape mounting clips supplied.
Warranty
1 Year warranty on S/S chamber and 1 year on ballast, subject to usage. Not suitable for saltwater applications.
A 5 micron per-filter must be install before the UV light to remove dirt and sediment to expose any bacteria to the UV light for treatment.
Ultraviolet sterilisation can only be effective if your water source is clear enough for UV light to penetrate.
Filter kits are available to suit most applications.
