Description
The Pentek NCP-10BB is a dual-purpose 10 micron pleated carbon water filter designed for 10″ x 4.5″ Big Blue and Big White filter housings.
The NCP-10BB is an innovative product which activated carbon coated pleats, providing sediment, bad taste/odour and chemical reduction in a single filter — without impeding flow rate significantly.
The carbon-impregnated polyester pleats are resistant to bacterial attack which makes this filter suitable for use with non-chlorinated water sources, including rainwater tanks and river water.
The clever pleated design dramatically increases the available surface area compared to a string wound or poly spun cartridge. This approach improves both service life and dirt-holding capability.
Contaminant Reduction
The Pentek NCP-10BB reduces:
- Sediment, dirt, sand, rust, slime, and silt
- Bad taste and odour
- General water discolouration (to a minor degree)
Can also reduce other chemical contaminants including herbicides and pesticides.
Also known by the old name Ametek NCP-10BB.
The pleating of the Pentek NCP-10BB provides additional surface area to increase the dirt holding capacity and life of this filter.
