Description

The UV Guard S30 is an ultra violet water steriliser designed for domestic and commercial applications. Kills or neutralises 99.9% of all bacteria, cyst parasites, protozoa, algal spores, and viruses in your water.

The UV Guard S-Series of UV sterilisers has features normally reserved for commercial or industrial installations.

Made from 316 food grade stainless steel, this unit comes with 3/4″ BSP threaded ports, lamp viewing port, and flow mixer. A wide range of add-ons are available for S-Series units including UV Intensity Sensors, Industrial Thermal Relief Valves, and Building Management System (BMS) integration.

This makes the S30 suitable for everything from high-end residential installations through to food processing facilities and remote work camps. It is an ultra-robust unit built to last.

The S30 is capable of flow rates up to 22 litres per minute (30mJ/cm2).

Can easily be installed after any existing water filter system that has a 5 micron sediment pre-filter before the UV system (sediment filtration down to 5 microns is required).

Two ballast options are offered, the standard 40044 and the 40050 which features a lamp lifespan countdown. For other ballast options or additional components, please give us a call or email.

Depending on your water supply this unit may only need one easy service a year where you remove the lamp protective quartz thimble and wipe clean for best light output.

How UV Light Works

No micro organisms are known to be immune to Ultra Violet light. It will kill or incapacitate bacteria, mould, fungal spores, viruses and yeasts. UV sterilization systems represent an economical yet effective solution to water sterilization without the use of chemicals.

There is a very real risk of contamination in drinking water from bores, tanks & rivers throughout Australia with even some town supplies carry bacteria & Cysts, Giardia & Cryptosporidium.

Lamps are recommended to be replaced every 12 months to keep the system working at peak bacteria killing performance.

Lamps are easily replaced by sliding the new lamp inside the quartz thimble. These systems can be mounted vertically or horizontally as well using the C shape mounting clips supplied.

Warranty

1 Year warranty on S/S chamber and 1 year on ballast, subject to usage. Not suitable for saltwater applications.

A 5 micron per-filter must be install before the UV light to remove dirt and sediment to expose any bacteria to the UV light for treatment. 

Filter kits are available to suit most applications.

Note: As these systems have a quartz inner thimble and a glass UV lamp it is recommended to protect from harsh vibration or dropping when travelling. This may include removing the UV lamp from the quartz thimble when travelling.
