Why is it Important to Regularly Replace My Zip Filter?
The 93701 Zip Filter Cartridge contains carbon media, which adsorbs chemicals from your water. Over time, the carbon becomes saturated with chemicals and begins to allow those chemicals through, into your drinking water. If you don’t change your filters regularly, you may begin to consume those chemicals, including chlorine and chloramines.
Zip cartridges also contain scale0-reducing media. Once that media is depleted, you are more likely to see scale development within your Hydrotap, which can impair its performance and may eventually lead to catastrophic mechanical failure.
