This service kit contains everything you need to complete your annual Puretec Hybrid H6 maintenance. Replacing filters and the UV lamp annually ensures your system continues to deliver safe, bacteria-free water throughout your home.

Stage 1:
1 x 1045PWBC5 Pleated Washable 5 Micron Sediment Filter (Blue Cap)
Pentek branded 10″ x 4.5″ pleated washable sediment filter.
Removes a wide range of particulate contaminants including sand, silt, dirt, rust, metal particles, algae, and mud.
Removes particulates as small as 5 microns in size. This is crucial for ensuring that pathogens cannot hide behind large sediment particles and evade UV light exposure.
This filter can be washed several times extend its lifespan. Recommended service life of 12 months.
Suitable replacement for the Puretec PL05MP1 – 5 Micron Pleated Washable.
Stage 2:
1 x Pentek NCP-10BB 10 micron Pleated Impregnated Carbon Water Filter.
Reduces even more sediment, bad taste/odour. The pleats are impregnated with carbon. Replace as required with a service life of 6-12 months. Suitable replacement for the Puretec DP10MP1 – 10 Micron Pleated Carbon Coated Filter.
Stage 3 (UV Steriliser):
1 x 11070 (RL5) 50 watt UV Lamp with 4 pins at one end.
High-power ultraviolet lamp which kills 100% of pathogens in the water including viruses, bacteria, cyst parasites, protozoa, and fungal spores. Suits Puretec Hybrid H6 and H7 filtration systems. Dimensions 445mm long including pins.
1 x 20285 Quartz Sleeve (RQS5) (thimble-style, open at one end)
The quartz thimble which surrounds the UV lamp and protects it from water damage.
The sleeve should be cleaned every 12-24 months and replaced if it is damaged or you are unable to clean it to transparency.
Dimensions 470mm long x 23mm OD. If replacing the O-ring GT7-2NSF-OR requires 1 x O-ring
1 x GT7-2NSF-OR thimble O-ring
O-rings which need to be replaced every time you remove the quartz thimble for cleaning or at 12 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I service my Puretec Hybrid H6?
The annual service involves replacing the filter cartridges, ultra violet lamp and o-rings.
The quartz sleeve can last longer and Puretec recommends replacing it every two years. However, many people will only replace the quartz sleeve if it is damaged or has become so discoloured it is impeding light from reaching the water.
It’s important to note that the quality of your water can play a role in determining the correct servicing schedule.
If you have very dirty water, you may find that you need to change the filters more often. If you are using bore water, you may have high mineral content which causes scaling or premature discolouration of your thimble.
You can inspect the filters and thimble to see how your water source is affecting your system.

Are these Genuine Puretec parts?
They are not manufactured by Puretec but are designed to fit and perform in the Hybrid H6 systems.
It’s important to note that the generic components included with this kit are premium items from reputable manufacturers. The filters are made by Pentek, one of the world’s leading filter manufacturers. The UV lamp and quartz thimble are from UV Guard, one of Australia’s biggest suppliers of UV Syerilisers.

This kit does NOT suit the Hybrid G7 or Hybrid G6, they use different lamps and a quartz sleeve instead of a thimble.

Why is sediment filtration important in a Hybrid H6?
If there is too much sediment in the water, it will give bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens an opportunity to hide from exposure to ultraviolet light.
That’s why it is critical that you replace your filters as required.
Why does the lamp need to be replaced annually?
Almost all UV lamps are tested to emit a sufficient amount of light to neutralise pathogens for 12 months. After this point, it is becomes more likely that pathogens will successfully move through the steriliser without being neutralised.
