2045smc0.5 is a surface modified carbon block water filter cartridge.
Made from the highest grade of coconut carbon and designed to reduce colour along with many other contaminates.
Suits 20″ Big Blue & Big White housings. 0.5 micron rating.
Reduces Cysts, Chemicals, Bad tastes & odours and Sediment.
Used for fine filtration. High VOC Reduction High Chemical Absorption Turbidity Reduction
Please note: Although this filter effectively reduces colour, it may not be suitable for tannin colour reduction when the water is very dark and the tank’s entire contents is discoloured. In this scenario, the filter’s colour reduction capacity may be used too quickly.

As these filters are very fine it is recommended to have a sediment filter before to reduce the risk of blocking due to heavy sediment.
