The Premium 2000 Water Filtration Process
The Premium 2000 package comes with two filter systems. The whole house unit plus the under sink unit. Here is the filtration process for each unit:
Premium 2000 Whole House Water Filter System (6 Stage)
Stage 1: 20″ x 4.5″ Pentek 5 Micron Sediment Filter
The first stage is a pleated washable sediment filter which removes particulate contaminants including sand, silt, algae, rust, dirt, and bio slime and so on. Can be washed 4-5 times to increase the filter’s lifespan up to 18 months.
Stage 2: 20″ x 4.5″ Pentek 1 Micron Sediment Filter
An even finer sediment filter to reduce smaller particulate contaminants. Can be washed 4-5 times to increase the filter’s lifespan up to 18 months.
Stage 3: 20″ x 4.5″ Granular Activated Carbon Filter (Silver impregnated)
A 20” canister of Granulated Carbon to remove bad tastes and odour, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, PFAS, Chlorine, Chloramines, and other chemical contaminants.
Stage 4: 20″ x 4.5″ Carbon Block Filter – 5 Micron (Silver Impregnated)
A dense block of silver impregnated carbon, rated at 5 microns. Acts as a second barrier of defence against chemical contaminants. The density of this carbon block helps it remove more complex chemical molecules like chloramines and synthetic chemicals. Silver impregnated to reduce the risk of bacterial growth within the filter.
Stage 5: UV Guard SLT40 Ultraviolet Steriliser
The UV Guard SLT40, is an 900mm long Ultraviolet Steriliser which kills 99.99%+ of bacteria, viruses, cyst parasites (cryptosporidium, cyclospora, giardia), protozoa, and algal spores in the incoming water supply. Fully sterilises your incoming water supply, making it safe to consume.
Suitable for treating up to 42 litres per minute or 82 litres per minute with the optional lamp upgrade. Uses a high-quality stainless steel reactor and components.
Stage 6: Magnetic Water Conditioner
The final stage on American-made magnetic water conditioner. It breaks up dissolved minerals in the water, which reduces reduces scale formation on pipes and water-consuming appliances. It can increase the lifespan of your appliances and make it easier to keep your showers/sinks clean.

Frequently asked Questions
Is this system suitable for the rainwater as well as municipal mains water supplies?
This unit is ideal for the removal of contaminants commonly found in rain water stored in tanks and in treated town water. This includes chemicals, bad taste/odour, sediment, bacteria, cyst parasites, dirt, grass, pollen, and more.
Can I treat my bore water with this unit?
One of the main challenges with bore water is mineral content. Although the Premium 2000 will reduce scale build-up from dissolved minerals, it will not remove minerals altogether.
For water with high levels of dissolved minerals or salinity, reverse osmosis or ion exchange resin is usually required. Send us a water report and we will help you determine if the Premium 2000 is suitable.
Will my treated water supply be too clean?
Calcium, magnesium, potassium and other minerals will still be present. You will just enjoy cleaner water that smells and tastes great.
Do I need a plumber or electrician to install this unit?
How much would a plumber or electrician charge to install this unit?
If accessing the mains line is relatively easy and there is easy access to an electrical line, it would usually be a 1 to 2 hour job. If additional work is required to access the main water line or to install a new electrical power point, it may take longer
