10" x 2.5" Standard Diameter Carbon Filters
10″ x 2.5″ water filter cartridges are a popular design often used in bench top and under sink water filter systems. They are installed inside of filter housings like the American-made QMP housings or the popular Aqua-pro housings.
They are a great option for water filtration as there are many types of 10″ filters available for different filtration tasks including budget-friendly filters.
A 10″ cartridge will measure approximately 248mm x 70mm. Most of the filters on this page are double open ended, but we also stock the CC1 screw in filter as well as sure seal filters.

What Is A Cyst Rating and Why Is It Important?
If a filter is cyst rated, it can remove protozoan cysts from your water.
Protozoan cysts are tiny parasites sometimes found in untreated or poorly treated water. When ingested they can cause illness. They are of particular concern for anyone drinking untreated rainwater, river water, dam water or bore water.
The most common types of protozoan cysts are cryptosporidium and giardia. They can cause diarrhea, stomach pain, bloating, cramps and a variety of other painful symptoms.
Most cyst rated filters are carbon blocks with a rating of 1 micron or lower. Filters this fine can capture protozoan cysts which are typically above 1 micron in size.
