Description

SofterWater™ Pool350 Hard Water Conditioner. Protects swimming pool equipment from the effects caused by minerals and hard water.

, the SofterWater™ Pool350 has been tested in a wide variety of operating environments, from residential and commercial sites. Larger models also available.

THE PROBLEM

If you live in a hard water area then you will have calcium, magnesium and sometimes iron in your water. Left untreated, scale will build up on the pool walls and tiles leaving your pump, filter, and chlorinator susceptible to hard water scaling problems that will cost you money. An even worse scenario is when your pool pump fails prematurely as scale builds up in the pipes and filter housing. Even more costly is when your salt water chlorinator cell builds up with scale reducing the efficiency of the chlorine generation, leading to problems of algae and black spot growing in the pool.

The old solution to solving these problems was to get an assortment of chemicals to dose up the pool water. This requires a lot of money and time, and creates a swimming environment that is not safe or enjoyable for you, your family, or the environment.

THE SOLUTION

So what to do? The solution is actually quite simple. However, it will not be found at your local pool shop as you will not be needing costly chemicals. The solution is installing a catalytic Softerwater Pool Conditioner in the recirculating system, generally after the pump or filter. This ensures that each time the water is recirculated it gets conditioned time and time again. The quality and clarity of the water improves the more often the water is recirculated. By using Softerwater, you use far fewer chemicals and you get to swim and enjoy your pool knowing that the pool, pump, filter, chlorinator, and pipes are protected from hard water problems. It’s a win-win!

INSTALLATION

If you’re a handy person you can do the installation yourself. if not, get your local pool guy to do the installation for you.

  1. The best location for the pool conditioner is after the pump and either before the filter, or if you have a salt water chlorinator, after the filter and before the chlorinator.
  2. The Pool conditioner will need to be glued in place so allow a couple of hours after the installation before turning the pool pump on again. Other connection options available on request.

Installing the conditioner in the recirculating system means that each time the water is recirculated it gets conditioned time and time again.

SofterWater™ Pool350 Commercial Hard Water Conditioner- Manufacturing Process

SofterWater™ Pool350 Water Conditioner – How It Works

  1. SofterWater™ units are made using a special foundry process, combining a group of metals on the anode and cathode galvanic scale. This alloy has a non-sacrificial anode, which means it will never need replacement.
  2. As water flows into the unit, it moves through a series of baffles causing intense galvanic reactions.
  3. Most of the minerals in the water are attracted to the sites of these reactions, forming clumps which remain suspended in the water instead of forming scale.
  4. Any scale that builds-up is much easier to remove as it does not form as a hard crust.

SofterWater™ – Testimonials

“As you know, we have a bore feeding into quite a large tank which we then pump to the house with an inline pressure pump.

We were plagued with lime scale from the minute we installed the bore. There was notable build up in all taps, shower heads blocking within a month and the white scale covering everything else. The evaporative air conditioner we had installed would block in less than 10 days, with the water squirting out the side, not just running down the pads.

We had to use industrial strength de-scaler in the air conditioner and had been told we should never have installed this type of air conditioner.

Since installing a SofterWater Conditioner on the pressure pump and one on the air conditioner we have had fantastic results.”

Hello Earl,

Hope you and your family are well. Apologies it has taken a while to respond! The SofterWater Conditioner has definitely made a difference. We haven’t had to replace our hot water element since 27.8.11, if it goes past 12 months that will be great!

Usually it needs replacing after 9 months or so as there is so much mineral build up etc. We have kept a record of the dates when the element has been replaced before the SofterWater Conditioner went in. There is a bit less pressure, but we do think the water is softer. Hope this is helpful.

– Regards, Sally
