Fitting Your Dedicated Tap
- Place the plastic or rubber washer from the base of the new tap, in the corner of the sink, in the flat section, check under the sink to see where the thread of the tap will go, making sure there are no other obstructions where the tap thread will be.
- Use a nail or centre punch to mark the centre of hole.
- Use a battery drill to drill the holes, drill slow and added a few drops of water as you go. Start with a small drill 5mm or so, and work your way up using about 4 different drills until 12mm.
- Fit the sink tap,put the big hard washer and nut under the sink. Tighten up, doesn’t matter which way the tap faces.
Install Water Connections
- Turn off the water supply and release water pressure by opening up a cold tap.
- Check to make surewhich one of the braided lines or taps under the sink is the cold water line.
- Undo the cold water hose of the wall tap or fitting, fit the ASV tee shut-off tap and reconnect the cold water line to the other end. Cut a short piece tubing to from the shut-off tap to the inlet side of the grey inline pressure limiting valve. Check the flow direction on the valve.
- Screw the filter system to the inside of cupboard or it can stand up by its self on the base of the cupboard, leaving it loose to make removing easy also leave the plastic tubing long enough to bring the system out onto the floor as it makes servicing the filters easier.
- Run the tubing from the outlet of pressure limiting valve to the inlet on the filter system, push the tubing all the way in then pull out to lock.
- Fit the tube from outlet side of filter to the bottom of the new filter tap.
- Turn the ASV tap handle off, which is across the tube.
- Check all connections.
- Turn the cold water supply and ASV tap on.
Filter Changing & Flushing
- Turn off water supply at the ASV and open the sink tap to release the water pressure. Leave tap open.
- Use spanner to loosen housings. Unscrew and remove old filters.
- Place new filter in housing
- Always lubricate the housing o-rings, a little vegetable oil or cooking oil will do (do
not use petroleum based lubricants). - Screw housings back on being sure to only hand tighten and using the spanner may cause damage.
- Turn on water supply and flush water until it runs clear.
- Turn off sink tap and check for leaks.
